It overall just makes me feel more like a cis guy when I'm wearing it.Ĭons: There's a bit of a learning curve it took me a couple months to get from 'it looks like I'm wearing a sports bra' to 'yes, a cis man could have this chest'. I also don't mind being shirtless at home as much. I can shower, change, and exercise without having to deal with my chest at all. Pros: I like the fact that I don't have to deal with my chest for an extended period of time. I have a medium sized chest for reference. I've been using transtape for a while and I honestly prefer it over a binder. a kt tape thats made for holding your firm limb muscle together would of course be rougher than transtape made for positioning a mans sensitive skinned and squishy chest □♂️ its still not a perfect solution though ofc - be gentle with your skin, pay attention to and follow the instructions, and dont push yourself to not follow directions just to get relief from dysphoria its designed specifically for this and is the best alternative for your skin/body. I know a lot of people get on it for being "overpriced KT tape" or something but. It takes some figuring out and its not for everyone, but i think its worth trying out at least! theres a sample kit i believe? and they have lots of videos out for it now - i tried it back when it was just getting started and i didnt get it but i think now theres more resources to help with it ive never had that heavy of dysphoria like you talk about though and never minded binders too muchĪ friend of mine who has a big chest like me but dysphoria more like what you describe, tried it out on my recommendation and really greatly prefers transtape and says he wishes he never had to take it off! it seems to be a good help for that kind of dysphoria :) I had a big chest and tried it, i couldnt get over the hump of learning how to do it right and i just didnt like it and stuck with binders.
